Peters Automotive, located on Highway 251 South in Rochelle, was founded in 1928. For over 80 years, three generations of the Peters family has served the area with auto/truck sales, auto parts-accessories-tire sales, towing, and complete auto/truck repair service.

With the evolution of the auto industry, Peters Automotive has continued to evolve in order to best serve the Rochelle area. The Peters family started Peters Garage in 1928 as a auto/truck repair business, farm equipment sales, machine shop, and a State of Illinois Truck Inspection Lane. In 1954 the Peters family changed the name to Peters GMC, and became a GM Dealer. With over 55 years selling and servicing the GM product, the Peters family was notified in May of 2009 that they would no longer be a GMC franchise dealer as a result of the GM bankruptcy. Therefore, the Peters family found it necessary to change the name to Peters Automotive and stay focused on the needs of the market area. We are proud to announce the new era of Peters Automotive as we have chosen to partner with a new franchise, CARQUEST Auto Parts/TECH-NET Professional Auto Service, industry leaders in the automotive parts and service business. The new franchise will allow Peters Automotive to stay focused in the quest for automotive sales, parts and service excellence. Peters Automotive will consist of used auto and truck sales, towing, tires, and State Inspections, parts under CARQUEST Auto Parts and service under TECH-NET Professional Service.
